Technology and Media Partner
Allsvenskan Segling is Sweden’s top national sailing series, where the country’s leading sailing clubs compete in four rounds and a final. For several years now, NextLive has been the series’ technology and media partner, with the goal of making sailing more accessible, more engaging, and easier to follow—both for experienced sailors and for those discovering the sport for the first time.
Our production is about much more than a traditional live broadcast. By combining proprietary technology, live production, and journalistic content, we create a comprehensive experience where the competition isn’t just shown—it’s explained, analyzed, and placed in a broader context.
NextArena - The Future of Sailing
A key part of our production is NextArena, our proprietary platform for tracking, results, and race data. All information from the track is collected in real time and used directly in the broadcast to generate graphics showing live positions, standings, results, and other race data. This allows viewers to follow the races in a whole new way and understand how every decision on the track affects the final outcome.
NextArena also creates added value beyond the live broadcast itself. The tracking and race data are used to analyze critical moments during the races, giving both the audience and the sailors a deeper understanding of the competition. The material is also used by racing judges, who publish their own analyses and explanations of situations, contributing to greater transparency and education within the sport.
The Sailing Studio
To make the broadcasts even more informative, we also produce a sailing studio where hosts and guests follow the races, analyze developments, and discuss current events in Swedish sailing. The studio provides a platform for interviews, in-depth coverage, and news from the Swedish sailing community, turning the broadcast into more than just a live competition—it becomes a gathering place for the entire sport.
Sharing on social media
In addition to live broadcasts, we regularly produce video clips, interviews, highlights, and graphics that are published on Allsvenskan Segling’s digital channels. This ongoing content has helped the competition reach over one million views on social media and has increased the sport’s visibility among both existing and new audiences.
Adds value to the entire sailing experience
For the organizer, our work results in a modern and cohesive production where technology, race data, and media work together. For the sailors, it creates greater visibility and a professional showcase for their performances. For partners, the production provides more organic opportunities for exposure and content that continues to resonate long after the race has ended.
Allsvenskan Sailing is a project we’re particularly proud of because it shows how modern technology and well-thought-out media production can help develop an entire sport. Through NextArena, our analyses, the studio, and our ongoing coverage, we make the competition easier to understand, more engaging, and more accessible. The result is not only better broadcasts—but also greater interest in sailing and greater value for the entire Swedish sailing community.
